The Hat Bar
The Hat is a St. Petersburg jazz club with locations in Berlin and Moscow. The spirit of the Northern capital is evident in the intimate atmosphere of the venue: musicians perform on a small stage, with the only seating available on bar stools. One of the club's signs serves as a counter for the number of jam sessions held there over the years — there are currently around a thousand of them.
Musical improvisations are held almost every evening after the main event. These can include concerts by jazz or blues musicians, a full band, or an open mic, where young artists volunteer to perform music of any genre.
