This elegant jazz-rock with a funk undertone is the Bossa Nostra quintet, already quite well known beyond their native Italy, renowned for their witty arrangements of stylistically unconventional compositions. This applies in particular to works by Gil Scott-Heron and James Brown — Solaria features three of them. The group's style is characterized by improvisational duets between saxophone and piano; the album featured the renowned American singer Vicki Anderson.
