Moonglow

The project was founded in the spring of 2007 and united the best nu jazz forces of Russia. The musicians of Moonglow were born in different parts of the country and came together in St. Petersburg to make fine, delightful, and modern music. The musical basis of the project is accurate and thoughtful electronics from Custo, placed on delicate harmonies and filled with jazz improvisations.

Moonglow is a combination of experience in jazz (Igor Shilov, trumpet), modern ideas (Dmitry Gurovich, electronics), sophisticated harmonies (Alexander Alexeev, keyboard), a smart "always searching" bass (Phil Mescheryakov, acoustic bass), beauty and charm (Asya Kell, flute), frankness, and fine musical taste — all members of the project.

Moonglow played at the largest Russian festivals of 2008 — Usadba.Jazz, StereoLeto, and Luxury Lounge Festival. The music of the project can be heard on four national radio stations — Radio Jazz, Monte Carlo, Relax FM, and Radio Hermitage. According to the Luxury Lounge Festival 2008, in which the best Russian lounge musicians took part, Moonglow was voted the best lounge band.
